Atomic and molecular decompositions of distributions in the framework of Dirichlet spaces

Abstract

We construct compactly supported frames for Dirichlet spaces which include Triebel-Lizorkin and Besov spaces in the context of Riemmanian manifolds and other nonclassical settings. We then apply our results to the study of atomic and molecular decompositions of the spaces and to the boundedness of almost diagonal operators.
