Phase Field modeling of Inter-Vesicle and Vesicle-Substrate interactions

Abstract

The study for cell membranes has been a hot topic for many years due to its wide application in bio-medical science. Here we introduce a phase field method for tracking vesicle deformation and movement, focusing on the modeling of the vesicle-vesicle and vesicle-substrate interactions. Several phase field functions are integrated into the phase field model to derive a uniform phase field model. We will show the numerical experiments and compare them with biological experiments.
