Biplanar Crossing Numbers and Random Graphs

(Follow-up Workshop to the Mathematics Research Communities "Beyond Planarity: Crossing Numbers of Graphs" program)

February 22-25, 2018,

University of South Carolina
LeConte Bldg, Room 312
Columbia, SC 29208

The AMS’s Mathematics Research Communities (MRC) is a professional development program offering early-career mathematicians a rich array of opportunities to develop collaboration skills, build a network focused in an active research domain, and receive mentoring from leaders in that area. Funded through a generous three-year grant from the National Science Foundation, MRC is a year-long experience that includes:

  • Follow-up small-group collaborations;
  • Longer-term opportunities for collaboration and community building among the participants.

This workshop is a follow-up workshop to the Mathematics Research Communities "Beyond Planarity: Crossing Numbers of Graphs" program targeting collaboration of the participants on crossing numbers and other related combinatorial problems. Visiting participants are supported by the American Mathematical Society from NSF funding.
