2013Summer School on Network ScienceDesigned to bring network science closer to the USC community, this Summer School will present leaders in this field to lecture on campus. Four keynote speakers will each deliver five tutorial lectures over the course of two weeks. Additional talks will be presented by nationally recognized contributors. 2011New Frontiers in Imaging and SensingThe Interdisciplinary Mathematics Institute (IMI) and the NanoCenter are pleased to announce a special research workshop scheduled for February 17 – 22, 2011. This intensive workshop, focused on developing new imaging methods for electron microscopy with special emphasis on sparsity recovering and compressed sensing concepts, will include 23 lectures and 5 discussion sessions held over a six day period, and will bring together experts in relevant areas from material science, microscopy, sensor systems, mathematics and computer science to identify current obstacles and problems in the field that have the potential to be resolved by emerging mathematical methods.
